I have been giving guitar lessons in Santa Rosa CA since 1986 and have taught  90 to 100 students per week at Stanroy Music Center since 1988. With well over 100,000 individual guitar lessons of experience I am one of the most accomplished and qualified guitar teachers in Santa Rosa California. Hours

I teach guitar 6 days a week, Monday through Friday, 11 to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Students usually take one 30-minute guitar lesson per week.

Beginner Guitar Lessons Santa Rosa CA

Introduce yourself or your children to a new interest in and enthusiasm for music! Guitar lessons begin by developing the coordination, technique, and dexterity you need to play. All ages are welcome. It’s never too early or too late to enjoy making music. The music you want to play is often easier than you think. There’s no secret other than finding the best way to explain what you want to learn so that it’s clear to you.

You may begin on electric or acoustic guitar. I am a very patient guitar teacher. I will teach you the style of music you want to learn while at the same time making sure you know all the basics and fundamental theory you need to know to become a good guitar player. On-line videos and DVDs can’t do that. (And the frustration that can come from their limitations may having you believing the failure is yours when it’s not!)

Advanced Guitar Lessons

For the advanced players, I can take what you already know, fill in the gaps, and help end the aggravation that stops you from taking your guitar playing to the next level.

Children’s Guitar Lessons Santa Rosa CA

I have over 35 years of full time professional guitar teaching experience and have taught many children ages 5 through 9 with proven success.  Children ages 5 years and up can start playing the guitar.  Parents must be sure to get a suitable sized guitar (½ scale or ¾ scale).  A nylon string acoustic guitar usually works best, but you can also use steel string acoustic or electric guitars, also in a ½ scale or ¾ scale size.  I started my daughter, at age 7, on a ¾ scale nylon string acoustic.

With younger children, I require a parent to attend the lessons for the first month.  Parents are always welcome to attend the lessons at anytime.
