Music Theory for Guitar Players

Music Theory for Guitar Players in Santa Rosa, CA

Theory is what turns memorized patterns into real understanding. In your guitar lessons, I teach theory on the instrument itself, so you can see and hear how it works. We cover the notes on the fretboard, how chords are built, major and minor scales, modes, keys, and how to choose notes for rhythm and lead playing. You learn it as it applies to the music you want to play, whether that’s rock, blues, metal, country or folk. It’s included in your regular $45 half-hour lesson, in person at Stanroy Music Center or on Zoom. Call or text 707-239-1315 to get started.
